A valuable food cultivated source, a refreshing beverage, a reoccurring thread in the culture, religion and lifestyle of the region of it's origin, southern Asia, especially India, Burma and the Andaman Islands..
QUANT.UNITINGREDIENTPREPARATION
  1. Combine vinegar and sugar in heavy bottomed, large kettle or pot.
  2. Boil 5 minutes
  3. Add all the other ingredients and return to a boil
  4. Let simmer about 2 hours with frequent stirring. Contents should thicken in this time.
  5. Store as you wish. This is good for preserving in sterile jars if you posses the knowledge only!.

.5tbs.chopped fresh ginger
1largeonion
2tbsdiced chili peppers
1cupdiced almonds
1tbs salt
.25cuplime juice
1.5cupraisins
4cupssugar
4cupswhite vinegar
