These are some explanatory notes on the above headings.
The overall concept here is that you will enter the purchase price information which will then be linked to the yield card list initial price cells and from there the cost will be linked to the recipe card.
- PRODUCT CODE: This is the product's code number using whatever system you choose.
- DESCRIPTION: Just what it means.
- YIELD %: This number comes from performing a yield test.
- PURCHASE PRICE: Your purchase price of item.
- UNIT:This needs to correspond to the purchase price of the item, just as you bought it..
- PRICE PER OUNCE: In the example we are using the cell formula for cell F2 is =SUM(D6/16).

This page is your base page and it should function as your "Inventory" page. Enter all your inventory here and make sure you update the purchase price as often as your policy requires. Once you have done that the next time you open the recipe you need it will automatically open in the updated version utilizing the new purchase price.
